hi,
the cut recordings are stuttering on a wdtv (
http://www.wdc.com/de/products/Products.asp?DriveID=734)
that means: the video looks like a slide-show, sound is okay
original recordings working fine...
this happens with all recordings, from any german hdtv stations...
i made a sample:
org = the original
cut = cut with smart cutter
http://rapidshare.com/files/324925828/arte_org.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/324926381/arte_cut.rar
any help?
cutting with tsdoctor and h264tscutter works fine with wdtv...
why not with smart cutter?

Dear Frasier:
Thanks for your information and sample files. We have downloaded them.
We tested arte_cut.ts on all the media players we can find, we still can not see the 'stuttering.'
Any way, we managed to remuxed the stream, please download the result, have it a try on your WDTV player, see if it is better. This could be helpful to locate the reason.

Thank you.

Dear Frasier:
We need some information in more detail. It looks related to the 'fps change' problem which we are still working on. Here is what our developers want to know:
1.Do you mean 'video runs slowly' by the word 'stuttering'?
2.Does the 'stuttering' only happen on 'WDTV'? How about other software media players on computer?
3.Does the 'stuttering' only happen on the start of cutted movie(which means cut point)? How about seek to middle of movie, then play?
4.How about other movies, other than 'German HDTV stations'?
5.When 'stuttering', is audio/video still synced?
Looking forward to your further information. Thank you.

1. i mean it looks like a slideshow
2. only on wdtv, perfect with vlc and mpc home classic
3. seek to middle does not help
4. i only found an austrian hdtv station and oh wonder: after cutting this movie plays perfect !!!
5. all sync
what's wrong with german hdtv stations???

Dear Frasier:
We are about to send out a fix version for the 'fps change' problem. We think that may solve the 'stuttering'.
The developers already finished the H.264/AVCHD part of the fix version, and they are testing the Mpeg2 part. It will be completed soon. We will send you a copy as soon as we get it.

Dear Frasier:
Thanks for your information.
We do not think the WDTV player will behave so differently just for the minor profile change. That is not a robust media player would do. But our developers will try to fix it to the same profile as source input.
We may need your further help when we get any message from our developers. Thank you.
