Smart Cutter damages stream or track information

Processing ts-streams (1080i HD TV recordings, AVC, High@4.0) with SmartCutter obviously changes any stream information or content. The uncut stream (containing 1 video and 2 audio tracks) can be imported in tsmuxer and converted to m2ts, AVCHD etc.

Importing the cut stream results in the error message
"Some tracks not recognized. This track was ignored. File name ..."
and the 6-channel audio track is lost, whereas the 2-channel track seems to be o.k.. Maybe it's just a matter of non-standard header information, but it's a fact that I can't do any further conversion with those cut streams.

In SmartCutter I first checked the option "Stream Fix" and next time "TME Mode", too. None of those options didn't change the described behaviour.

Dear DocEagle:
Thanks for your concern.

'Importing the cut stream results in the error message'
Could you please send us video samples for a test? If you could provide us both the uncut and the cut movie, that will be very helpful.

It would be better if the sample file size is less than 100 MB.

If you can not find small sample, use this simple tool to split your movie file into small pieces, and upload any one of them.

-------------------------------------
before uploading sample, please create sub-directory with your name under the root, then upload sample to this sub-directory.

FULL priviliged --- mkdir, read, write, remove
Will be helpful to limit the sample file size under 100MB.
Thank you.

tsMuxeR is notorious for failing to determine track types. A shame, because otherwise it's very good. There may in fact be nothing wrong with your cut stream.

"eac3to" is another tool which works well. There is a GUI for it called "More GUI" I think. I just use the comamnd-line version myself.

Anyway, all tracks of the same stream - just uncut - are determined without any problems. And by the way, tsmuxer is part of many other suites to multiplex tracks into AVCHD, m2ts etc. It can't be that bad ...
