The main center video is black on Mavericks, but the smaller thumbnails show up.

Are you running an MAC BOOK computer with dual video display chip? If so, please swith the major display.
Please feel free to send us your further advice and suggestion.

Hi !
Registered user of a Windows version, I wanted to try the Mac's one.
Same problem on different Macs, with Nvidia GT 120, Nvidia GTX 660 and Intel's HD4000.
The preview window stays black, little thumbnails visible and cutting works.

Dear FrDakota:
Thanks for your message.
'problem on different Macs.'
Could you please tell us the hardware configuration of your MAC? Such as CPU, Video Adaptor, etc.
And what is your MAC OSX version?
Please feel free to send us your further advice and suggestion.
Thank you very much.

Tested on a MacPro 5,1 with official Apple GeForce GT 120.admin wrote:Dear FrDakota:

And tested on Hackintosh referenced as MacMini 6,2 with either GTX 660 or HD4000.
And sorry I made a mistake, it works with the HD 4000, but the problem it's that I want to use the GeForce GTX 660.
Tested under Mavericks 10.9.5 and Yosemite.

'MacMini 6.2 ... it works with the HD 4000, but the problem it's that I want to use the GeForce GTX 660'
Do you mean, this MAC has both GTX 660 and HD4000 in it? And Smart Cutter only works when you are using HD4000, while it does not when you are using GTX 660?
Please feel free to send us your further advice and suggestion.
Thank you very much.

Re: MAC OSX (Intel 64-bit) version of Smart Cutter is here
Yes, as a Hackintosh it can have anything like a PC can, as long as there is a driver to use it. And GeForce GTX 660 is handled natively since Mac OS 10.8.admin wrote:Dear FrDakota:

And I have the PCIe GTX 660 and the HD 4000 part of the Core i7, but not the two active at the same time since I have only one monitor.
And of course SmartCutter works with HD 4000 but not the GTX 660 for the preview window, thumbnails below in the time line are visible for both cards.

Then this is a native MAC machine, not a Hackintosh, isn't it? It only has GeForce GT 120 video adatptor installed, and Smart Cutter does not work on it?
Please feel free to send us your further advice and suggestion.
Thank you very much.

Re: MAC OSX (Intel 64-bit) version of Smart Cutter is here
No, I have a Hackintosh with Core i7 and a friend of mine has a real MacPro 5,1 with the Apple GT 120 upgrade.admin wrote:Dear FrDakota:

So it was tested on two machines and I tested on mine with each video chip and it worked only on HD 4000 for the big preview window.
