Smart Cutter 1.3.8 - Crashes

A converted movie (4.73 GB): I shove the big slider to the right and again back to the beginning. At the attempt to shove the slider to the right once more, SC crashes.

Unfortunately I cannot upload the file, since the bug arises only with large files.
The bug doesn't appear with files produced with Smart Cutter less 1.3.6. The file is 1.6 MB smaler than produced with SC 1.3.5.
There aren't any problems with the source file.

MediaInfo 0.7.42 shows for the source file:

Format : MPEG-TS
File size : 6,55 GiB

Overall bit rate : 12,5 Mbps

Edit (March 14th):
I have the converted file tested with Smart Cutter 1.2.8: There aren't any problems.

Smart Cutter 1.3.8:
If the converted files are smaller than 1 GB (tested to 90 MB): At the attempt to shove the slider to the right once more, the slider hangs several seconds.
The smaller the file, the less long hangs the slider.

Result:
The problems are dependent on the structure of the converted files (produced with version higher than 1.3.5) and the version of Smart Cutter by the treatment of the converted file.

Your not Robinson Curuso

Most of us have experienced that in all the previous versions - its not new and its not the only video editing program struggles with files > 2gb

Simple fix (for the moment) ... if you've got a big file don't jump too far with the big slider

But I guess we all agree that it would be nice if this bug was fixed. From time to time, it strikes me just trying to find beginning and end of a movie (and commercial breaks). And it is annoying if I have to start with that search all over again...

Agreed nice to get it fixed .... its been reported a number of times.

I seldom edit files under 4gb so I've just got in the habit of being cautious with the sliders.

Apart from this bug the last couple of versions are handling everything I've been throwing at it so can't complain too much.

Now if we could get some enhancements like shortcut keys for movement and maybe a batch editing function I'd be over the moon

I have tried out your suggestion however without success.
Note: The file was converted by Smart Cutter 1.2.8. With the source file there are no problems.
