Video MPEG-PS, mpeg12 not playing - recorded with Sony cam

Hi,
I've bought Smart Cutter and cutted some .ts videos recorded on my receiver.
I've just tried started to cut & merge my holiday videos taken with the camera Sony DSC-T5 but Smart Cutter 1.5.7 only shows a start image and after clicking Play it plays a step and stopps. I can repress play and the next step is shown and stopps.
The file is .mpg, Format: MPEG-PS, Video: mpeg12, Dim. 640x480, Audio: mp3, Len shows 0 (but is 1 m 47 s).
But Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate shows: video codec mpeg1video, Ratio 1.33:1, Frame rate 25 fps, audio codec: mp2
Videos play perfectly with VLC.
On your website you write "Supporting MP4, MOV, M2TS, TS, PS, TP, TRP, MTS, MPG, VOB; H.264/AVC, AVCHD, MPEG2, DVD etc." .. so I think MPEG-PS is supported?
My whole private collection is done with this camera and now I can not cut & merge them.
Maybe it is a bug. I could send an example video if it helps.
Also tried to play a .mp4 video from my mobile phone Samsung GT-S7230E (bada 1.1) without success. Works with VLC 2.0.2 (Codec: MPEG-4 Video (mp4v), 320x240, Frame rate 27.25, Decoded format: 4:2:0 YUV) - maybe not supported.
