Hi,
I've just started testing Smart Cutter trial. With mpeg2 ts files, there is no problem, but when I try to open mpeg4 (H.264) ts stream, smart.exe just crashes. I've uploaded ts sample to ftp.

Dear Lovok:
Thanks for your sample file.

We tried it on our end, but we can not re-produce the problem by any means.
May be you can provide us more detailed info about it? Such as how you proceeded with the video in the program, the operation steps, etc.

Looking forward to your further message.
Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Hi,
I've tried opening video on another PC and there it works. So problem is not on video file but in my primary PC environment. It's hard to say what should be the problem, both systems are Win 7 64-bit. The fact is, when I click open in Smart Cutter and then select desired file (ts with H.264), right after clicking Open dialogue, windows say that Smart.exe stopped working and close it.

Dear Lovok:
Thanks for your message.

'on another PC and there it works'
Could you please tell us the CPU types and the Display Card types of the two PCs?

Looking forward to your further message.
Thank you very much.

Hi,
on my primary PC - Core 2 Quad Q9550 + ATi Radeon 4750, smart.exe crashes everytime I try to open ts file with H.264 recording (I've tried setting various H.264 decoders as primary - Microsoft, DivX H.264, ffdshow but nothing changed).
In virtual environment (VMware Workstation 8) no problem, also notebook with Core 2 Duo + nVidia GeForce GT220M works.
All systems are Win 7 Ultimate x64.

Anyway, cutting results of my test video are not good, depending of DS decoder used (as it seems that Smart Cutter does not decode video internally but depends on DirectShow), cuts are not frame precise (video include frames before cut point) or sometimes frames are messed up (shuffled). In VLC player, reencoded parts are played with artifacts, WMP 11 (Media Foundation) doesn't play video at all (or plays only reencoded part and then stops). So, for me, editor is not suitable at all.
