Dear Mrth:
Thanks for your message.
Please help us to show and identify the problem.
Could you please send us a video sample for a test?
It would be better if the sample file size is less than 100 MB.
If you can not find small sample, use this simple tool to split your movie file into small pieces, and upload any one of them.
http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-S ... rger.shtml
-------------------------------------
before uploading sample, please create sub-directory with your name under the root, then upload sample to this sub-directory.
FULL priviliged --- mkdir, read, write, remove
Will be helpful to limit the sample file size under 100MB.
Thank you.

Hello,
could you reproduce the errors with 1.39 ?
What is about the crashes with 1.40 ? This version is totally useless for me. Every file crashes the program at file open.

It is strange. We tried it many times on different systems, but it never crash on 1.4.0, nor 1.3.9. We may have several more tests, if we still can not re-produce the problem, we may send you a debug version, which will print out each step of the program running, so as to identify the problem.
Thanks for your help.
Please feel free to send us your further advice and suggestion.
Thank you very much.

I have now tried 1.40 in a virtual xp sp3 machine. It crashes with every ts file. I have uploaded drwatson.7z, may be this will help.
1.3.9 does not crash. It just produces ts errors like in my logfiles and in "smartcutter produces defective streams" from marauder.
if you send me a debug version, i can try it on my real machine.

The crash problem is solved: i have on all systems the "data execution protection" active for all programs. With 1.40 it is necessary to define smartcutter as an exception. With 1.3.9 it is not necessary.
Why did'nt you test your programs with this basic windows option ?
But with 1.40 i get the same defective streams as with 1.3.9. Any estimates about a fix for this ?

Actually we never set up this 'data execution protection' option.
About the TSDoctor error, we've gotten some clues and we may release a fix version this month.
Please feel free to send us your further advice and suggestion.
Thank you very much.

I purchased Vers 140 last week. It crashes at least 50% of the time before I finish editing my video files. It is getting really frustrating I spend 30 to 60 minutes removing comercials from a football game I recorded and 140 crashes. If I am editing a short video with just a few comericals it is usually doesnt crash. 140 seems to get more unstable the longer I am using it, such as the 3.5 hour football game when I am add listing segmants of the video to to the result point. I am using windows 7, Dell Laptop with 6 GB of Ram, an AMD triple core processor 2.3 GHz

'crashes at least 50% of the time'
Could you please run our previous version on your side and tell us the result?
