I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Arthur.
I'm new to this forum but I am a fun of this program since hi-def video emerged and I have known this program since version 1.2. I was introduce to this program from videohelp.com; they help me in many ways. Somehow I'd like to return a favor from anybody who needs help, specially for fame-ring.com for making this great program.

Here's my tip and it did work for me.
1 - No offence with fame-ring.com but this program Smart Cutter is not really optimized with Windows 7 64-bit OS it seems to have a memory management problem. So here what I did that works. The shortcut created by the program - Right-click, Properties, go to Compatibility tab and check Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack3) and you don't have to check any other options and apply. - That's it!
2 - For users with anti-virus program problems - Right-click on Computers and Advance System Settings, under Advance tab and Performance click Settings, Data Execution Prevention tab then select Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select. Click Add and select the Smart-Cutter program and Apply then Ok. A restart of your computer is a must so it will take effect the DEP instruction.

Hopefully this tip will help you and hopefully Fame-Ring will fix this issue so we don't have to do this tweak.
PS: It was tested on both version 1.3.0 and the pre-release of 1.3.1 version from the Admin.
