No frame-accuracy trimming

Post by vsf »

Hello,
I have some trouble with accuracy trimming...
Please, see sample 5.ts and 5a.ts (trimmed) at ftp.fame-ring.com/vsf

I try to trim 5.ts file at 00:02:07:980 position.
But result (5a.ts) - trim at 00:02:07:819 position.

I try using SmartCutter v1.2.5, 1.2.8f, 1.2.9, v1.3.0.

Dear vsf:
Thanks for your posting.
I try to trim 5.ts file at 00:02:07:980 position.
But result (5a.ts) - trim at 00:02:07:819 position.
A bit strange.
We repeated the process but it is all okay on our end. We did that in ver 1.3.0.

You will see the first frame is now 0:02:07:980.

This time, please do this:
Open the 5.ts in Smart Cutter, seek to 00:02:07:980, set 'New Start Point', then click the 'red circle' button, it will be transcoding, then you will get a new cutted movie. Now please check it on your end, then tell us the result.

Looking forward to your further message.
Thank you very much.

Looks like you misunderstood me :)
00:02:07:980 must be LAST frame, not FIRST !

Removal from the beginning to a specific position - all ok.
I can not do the opposite - to preserve a fragment from the beginning to the specified position, because at the end SmartCutter cuts off a few extra frames.
Please, see my sample 5a.ts again!

Yes, now cutting has become really accurate ... :)
Thank you!

The only pity is that can't use saved projects from the previous version. Although the project is loaded, but the output file obtained some wrong ...

I think I have the same problem, and I do use v1.3.2.

So my problem is that quite regularly, when I select a certain start point and end point, and add it to the list, the start point as it ends up in the list turns out to be a few frames earlier than what I had selected. So, when I'm done creating the list of sequences that I want in my resulting file, I need to reload each pair of start and end point to inspect if it is really the beginning frame that I intended to have. Sometimes it isn't, and then I have to reselect the correct start point, remove the bad pair from the list, and add it again. Then it is usually stored correctly.

The end points are always correct though, the problem is only with the start points. It's very strange.

We can not re-produce the problem on our end.
Please help us to show and identify the problem.

Could you please send us a video sample for a test?
It would be better if the sample file size is less than 100 MB.

If you can not find small sample, use this simple tool to split your movie file
http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-S ... rger.shtml
-------------------------------------
before uploading sample, please create sub-directory with your name under the root, then upload sample to this sub-directory.

FULL priviliged --- mkdir, read, write, remove
Will be helpful to limit the sample file size under 100MB.
Thank you.
