want to be informed when a new version is available

hi,
is there any mailing list or what else ever to be informed when a new version of smart cutter is available?
i payed for the prog, so i think i have a right to be informed of new version...
an information on the homepage of a new version would be good too
and other programs have a version info included (in options or help menu)
and why do i have to register the new version again when i download the portable version?
is there no chance to place a reg file or whatever?

The new features included:
