APPCRASH occured when editing H.264 TS file

Post by Hilly »

Dear admin team,

I can not edit a specific H.264 TS file. I can load this file, but APPCRASH occured when I try to move the current position for editing the movie. This TS file is what I recorded from Japanese CS channel.

I uploaded the sample file. Please check this file and find what is the reason for the APPCRASH.

Dear Hilly:
Thanks for your sample file.

We tried many times on this sample, but we can not re-produce the problem.

We now have a new version 1.3.8 of Smart Cutter.
http://www.fame-ring.com/smart.cutter.rar
just decompress and ready to run.
May be you can have it a try on your end and tell us the result.

Looking forward to your further message.
Thank you very much.

You are right. I can not reproduce the problem with the file I uploaded, either...

But, I think I could find the reason why the problem was occurred. The key point is the lenght of the filename.
For example, please try my file after renamed to "aaaa....a.ts" (repeat "a" 220 times). I think you can re-produce the problem.

The reason why you could not re-produce the problem is because I renamed the filename for uploading the sample file...

At the same time, I could find a way for workaround. I can edit the file after renaming.

I hope my comment helps you.

Hilly
