So, I know how to create start and end points and then delete the selected section. Is it possible to insert a video clip into the middle of another video? If so, how does one do that?

Suppose you want to insert video 1 into video 2(between its head part and tail part), first please make sure that the two videos are in the same container format, such as both are H.264 video in TS format, and they should have same media parameters, such as: resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio, etc.
1.open video 2, define start and end point of head part, then 'add batch'
2.open video 1, define start and end point as needed, then 'add batch'
3.open video 2, define start and end point of tail part, then 'add batch'
4.make sure the 'link' button is enlightened as yellow, then 'start batch'
5.done.
