Re: Smart-cutter does not open video file occasionally
I have just found another TS file that Smart Cutter cannot open. I managed to cut off 5GB of the end of the file leaving a sample file of 30MB. Have just uploaded this sample file to your FTP Server. Hope this will help resolve the problem that Smart Cutter has, that makes it unable to open some TS ...

Thread Priority - Support of multithreading
It would be great to be able to start the cutting of one file in Smart Cutter, send this thread to the background and start another cutting thread. However as I understand that this is a more difficult to implement feature, I would go straight to the next feature request that is just essential to ha...

Re: Endpoints can't be changed without starting all over
You sure can adjust the end point if you seek to a position a bit earlier or a bit later (2 seconds around the old end point) then click 'New End Point'. If you seek to a far (longer that 2 seconds) position from the old end point, Smart Cutter will take that as a new video segment defined. Yes, th...

Re: Smart-cutter does not open video file occasionally
Can confirm the scenario of not being able to open some TS files. Yes, I can agree that the problem lies in the TS files, however as other programs can open the same TS files, it seems that smart cutter is more strict, or does heavily rely on header info. If this is corrupt of incomplete it seems to...

Re: Endpoints can't be changed without starting all over
Yes, have tried the delete button in the past, but as you said it does not work ideally in all cases. So in order to be on the safe side I ended up using the clear button all the time (when I needed to move an endpoint). Better be safe than sorry. However I wish there was a better way to adjust / mo...

Re: Add .MKV file type
Would second the request for MKV input file support. Initial source would be DVB. However as TS files are not the optimal way to keep your files, in most cases the cutting is followed by encoding via FFMPEG to MKV. If one finds out that in the initial cutting there was a part left out (as has happen...

Re: Fresh Windows install, smart cutter keeps crashing
I have also seen this crashing behavior. I am not sure what the cause is, but I could say that it mainly appears in large files, or when the file is split in many sections (these two usually come in pair). I would guess that one could reproduce the error if a very big file is taken (lets say 10GB) a...

Endpoints can't be changed without starting all over
If one selects an end point and then decides to define it an bit earlier or a bit later, this is just ignored. The initial endpoint that was defined remains in effect and all correction to it are ignored, unless the clear button is pressed. It would be nice to be able to correct an endpoint without ...

Partial output file saved if PC is locked while transcoding
If one locks the PC with Alt+Control+Delete while a trans-coding is in process, the trans-coding will be interrupted and a partial / incomplete output file will be saved. It would be nice to be able to start a trans-coding of a big file and then lock the workstation, without this having the effect o...

Output Filename partialy saved if it contains dot(s)
When a filename contains one ore more dots, then everything that follows the first dot is lost in the output filename as it is saved be default. In an example, a file with the source filename: My.Name.Is.File.ts the output file is (by default) saved as: My.[0].ts Instead of taking the first dot in t...
